Beats getting stuck in traffic and being in an office any day!

So I’m here lying on the beach with Rebecca and we’re both trying to work on our tans. A wonderful life indeed! It’s so nice just to RELAX and ENJOY.
Yesterday was a lazy day. We woke up and had a late breakfast, then we all decided to go to town for the day. Robert had developed an awful eye infection in his left eye that seemed to be getting worse and was spreading to his right eye so he wanted to go to the clinic and Brent, Rebecca and I decided to go along for the ride. So the boys rented motorbikes and the girls rode as passengers and off we went.
First stop was the Ko Pha-Ngan Hospital. What a funny experience to see the piles of shoes at the entrance to the hospital. Of course we were all used to the Thai tradition of taking off your shoes before entering a place but I guess none of us expected to see it at the hospital. Robert signed himself in and went to the waiting area and Brent, Rebecca, and I chilled at a table outside and played cards. Robert had no problems getting diagnosed with a bad case of pink eye (that apparently is going around the island) and paid a total of $9 for the entire bill including the eye drops. Awesome!
After that we all cruised into town to do email, shop, and eat. It is a pretty small town, Thong Sala, but it has everything a traveler might need and the food was excellent. (Another curry dish for me – just can’t seem to get enough.) Eventually we rode back to Yao and had an evening swim (well all except Robert since he can’t swim for 5 days
). Then showered, chilled, ate, and chilled some more. A fun, relaxed, easy, lazy day…

Rebecca and I have been lounging on the beach all day discussing boys and relationships and friendships and life in general. It’s a beautiful day – sunny, warm, a few clouds in the sky, and a nice breeze coming through. Brent and Robert and discussing going to Krabi tomorrow and I guess I need to decide when to head back to Samui and get my bicycle and gear. I don’t have to be at the Spa until the 13th but other than that the next few days are pretty open.
Guess I should have some type of plan by tonight or tomorrow…

Rebecca and Robert (Rebecca- are you grinning with fear??)
