6 full-on very generous bowel movements!

Day #6 and I feel amazing. I decided today to extend my stay by 5 days and I am going to try to extend my fast for at least another 3 days after tomorrow. The only problem or concern I had was with my visa which expires on 11.24.01 but I am going to pay off one of the travel agents to (oh, I mean I am going to take a trip to the border myself, yes that’s right) renew my visa. That way I have another 30 days and no worries in Thailand.

So yeah, between late last night and early this morning I had 6 full-on very generous bowel movements. I could not BELIEVE how much kept coming out. I weighed myself yesterday evening and again this morning and I’ve lost 2 kilos of shit overnight! (That’s 4.4 pounds Americans.) My God!! I felt SO GOOD this morning – that’s when I knew that I wanted to continue the fast. I was so sold on the Ampuku massage that I decided to have another one this morning before the morning colema and the guy I had was amazing! The massage itself was quite painful (equivalent to someone standing on your stomach and shifting their weight foot to foot) but I can totally feel the benefits. You can actually feel the plague-shit moving through your intestines during the massage.

So I was so excited for the morning colema thinking I was going to get even more but to my surprise and dismay I had NOTHING! Nada. 16 liters of coffee and water went in and 16 liters came out. That was all. Well I should have known better seeing as I dropped 2 kilos overnight. But it’s ok…I just had my evening colema (garlic) and it appears that I am back in the game!

More on fasting (from the Tao):

“The ancient Greeks fasted for health and longevity, and were known for their robust physical health. Galen, Paracelsus and Hippocrates, who are recognized as the founding fathers of Western medicine, prescribed and practiced fasting for all serious ailments and recommended it as an excellent preventative regimen. Pythagoras requested his students to fast for 40 days to purify body and mind prior to receiving his highest teachings. Plato and Aristotle, whose thought forms the very warp and woof of Western philosophy, fasted regularly to enhance physical health and stimulate mental powers. The Bible mentions fasting 74 times, and Jesus himself fasted regularly, sometimes for up to 40 days at a time. So did Buddha. Fasting is a universal, natural response to sickness and debility, not a cultural or religious ‘trip.’”
