Am I actually going to ride the bike or has it become an annoying traveling companion?

Well so I made it to Krabi. I am now on the Andaman Sea side of Southern Thailand (think of it as the Gulf side of Florida). There’s not much to say about the town itself but the nice spots are about 20 km away. I decided to stay in town to try to negotiate bike storage while I do some island hopping. It’s definitely a bit of a drag having to lug the bike around on boats and to islands. Actually I wish I just left it in storage in Bangkok while I toured the south, but oh well, live and learn. Seems the guy who runs the place where I am staying is willing to keep the bike for a week or two, which is cool.
The tentative plan is to head over to Phi Phi tomorrow and stay there for a few days and then either come back to Krabi or go to Ko Lanta which is another island a bit south of here. I’m right in the high season for this part of Thailand so I want to get in and out of Phi Phi before it gets too crazy.
Today was a long day with the bike and traveling by boat and two different buses to get here. Made me start to wonder – am I actually going to ride the bike or has it become an annoying traveling companion? I think the answer is still yes, I do intend on riding but I never wanted to ride in the south anyway because of the heat so hopefully once I get out of Thailand I’ll be getting more miles in. Still trying to decide if I want to head to Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos next or if I want to head straight to New Zealand. Don’t know. Also need to decide if I go to Vietnam will I be riding or do I want to store the bike and become a backpacker for a while? Hmmm. I think I’ll check online and look to see if anyone else is heading that way and maybe that will help me decide. If I could meet another good riding partner like Kathy I would definitely be up for more riding!
