It’s all good

My plan to acquire the third Harry Potter book has been foiled! I specifically came into town today to sell back the Chamber of Secrets and buy the Prisoner of Azkaban but when I got to the bookstore it was gone! Oh well, I’ll have to find something else to read I guess. I’ve ordered some fried rice with vegetables while I rethink the plan.

I had taken the 12 o’clock shuttle from my bungalow, Rapala, into town. Every day each bungalow runs 2 shuttles into town – one at 7:30am and one at noon – to get people to the dock to catch their boat and pick up new people arriving, hopefully convincing them to stay at their place. I usually can’t be bothered to schedule my town excursions around the shuttle so I just hitch in and hitch back when I feel like it. Today though I opted for the shuttle in at least; I’ll be hitching back I’m sure.

…hours later…

Well, I just hitched back from town – got a ride from a British couple living in Bangkok. Told me about a really nice island just off of Ranong called Pahnai – gotta check it out. Anyway, I got sucked into the coffee shop movie vortex in town. The one that drew me in was America’s Sweetheart – watched that with a fabulous iced latte. Then I had an iced turtle mocha while watching Harry Potter. If I didn’t get the book at least I got to check out the film.

The sun is getting ready to set and I’m at the Sanctuary waiting for my naan and green papaya salad. Another good day on Lanta, however I’m no closer to making an actual decision on what I’m going to do next. That’s ok. I’m just gonna chill and enjoy the sunset and when I figure it all out I figure it out. It’s all good.
