Diving at Ko Hai again!
Another beautiful day. Great diving again. Today I went to Ko Hai but we dove at different sites than when I was there a few days ago so it was still new for me. The first dive was at Ko Hai III on the backside. I was paired up with Tizi again and this time her boyfriend Skova was with us too. They are both very good and experienced divers so I was in good hands. We basically followed the current around the island and ended back at the lagoon where I was diving the other day. Some things we saw included a few lion fish, a cube box fish, more than 10 barracudas, lizard fish, and some trumpet fish.
In between dives I went snorkling in the lagoon. Skova and Tizi found a nice octopus and showed him to me – he was sitting on a rock and was the exact color of the rock. Amazing how they do that!
First dive was 20.9 meters (48 minutes) and second dive was 21 meters (52 minutes). On the second dive we went to Ko Hai I – The Chimney. Another great spot! We saw several scorpionfish, lionfish, clownfish, and blue-striped angelfish. At the end of the dive we went through the Chimney, which is exactly that, a chimney of coral full of anemones and shrimps, which goes from 17m to 5m. It was SO wild to go up through it. Then we went through a cave which was full of glassfish. The visibility was really clear so overall it was a great day.
Tonight I am heading over to the Reggae Bar where they are having a live band – very exciting for Ko Lanta! It’s going to be an early night though because tomorrow I’m up early again for more diving!!
