Wisdom, Knowledge, and Good Guidance

January 2nd, 2004 at 12:00am

Got me a bicycle today which I am renting for $1 USD/day, not a bad deal. (My ‘touring diva’ is safely stowed away in Bangkok at the moment.) Today I went off to Chaweng with Romy (from Israel) to check out the Kwan Jai Health place. We were both interested in learning more about their live blood analysis. After hearing their schpeal, we both decided to give it a go so we’re scheduled (or suckered into it) for tomorrow. It will cost $60 USD for the dead blood analysis, a bit expensive, but I’m hoping that it will give me some insight into my current health status. From what little I know about it, they put a drop of your blood on a slide and through the microscope can identify all illness, disease, and injuries in your body all the way from birth to present day. We’ll see what they say tomorrow I guess.

I rode the bicycle 10km back to Lamai over some very hilly roads. It was great to get some exercise, and the cycling was not nearly as bad as I had feared. I was really worried after being so burned out from cycling in Australia, but then again there’s a world of difference between 10km and 100km. Still the body never forgets!

Quote for the Day from Dr. Bernard Jensen:

“When you say your prayers tonight, just pray for enlightenment. Pray for three things that will get you out of all your problems and troubles: knowledge, wisdom, and good guidance. Knowledge alone will never do it for you, because you have to be wise enough to know how to use it. And when you ask for guidance, you’ll find that you will have a little Angel on your shoulder who will give you the right word at the right time. If you will go in this direction, you will realize that man is not made of just bread alone, of just a physical body. He is a soul, a spirit who needs upliftment as much as he needs the chemicals of the earth. As God’s child, you need and deserve the best of everything good in heaven and on earth. So pray for everything that is good for you. If you ask for just one thing you will run short, and you will be leaning in only one direction. Always remember that balance is the key to success in this life. And as a wise man once said,’Knowledge is so proud that it knows so much, while wisdom is so humble that is knows so little.’”
