Fasting Day 11
I know, I kno…I’m sure anyone reading this is saying either why is she so into this fasting thing or why is she fasting AGAIN? I usually just avoid the question or give a vague response, but today I feel inspired to explain it. And really it should not be called ‘fasting’ so much as it is ‘cleansing.’ I’m not just ‘starving myself’ as a lot of people think – I am giving my body a chance to clean itself from the inside out, to clean the blood, every organ, every cell and even the mind. Anyone who has done it knows exactly how amazing you feel during and after a fast, and I do not know one person who has regretted doing it. To the followers of conventional medicine, I know it seems totally radical, but I can assure you that it is not. What is radical, in my opinion, is having unnecessary surgery to remove a diseased organ when you can clean it out yourself naturally and keep it inside your body t o do what it was meant to do!
So many people suffer from long-term illness and chronic conditions that constantly manifest into new ailments with no end in sight. The doctors and pharmaceutical companies make billions from you continuing to go back to them with the next complaint. It is an endless cycle as long as you continue to eat what you eat and never stop to clean yourself out. One simple 7-day fast would make a world a difference and help people start to form new eating patterns, but they would rather have their comfort food and suffer in other ways. It is all related to what you put in your body – whether it’s a persistent cough, psoriasis, IBS or even cancer. And if you think you are eating well, believe me you have no idea! Do one 7-day fast and see how much impacted mucoid plaque comes out of your colon and you will see for yourself what you’ve eaten and allowed to fester in there for so long! And your body will be so grateful to get rid of it, believe me.
I suffered for 2.5 years with terrible side effects from the flavour enhancer ribonuceotides or 635. I thought I was eating healthy during that time, but I was wrong. I felt awful during that entire time. For over 2 years I had no energy and no desire to live. I was just miserable from this horribly itchy rash. A lot of people though I was crazy, that the rash was psychosomatic. Well they were wrong. It was all due to a chemical that food companies have deemed safe for human consumption. I feel so very fortunate that I finally figured out what was the cause, or my own mind you as the doctors were totally useless. And now I am here to reclaim my health, to get my body back to the state of health and vitality that it was before I was sick. I worked in a really shithouse job (thanks to my horrible bosses in housekeeping at Lizard Island Resort) for nearly a year in order to save the money to get back here. Because I knew that if I didn’t do this that in another year I would have a new ailment as a direct result of my body being toxic. That’s the way the body works?if it is toxic your organs will all slowly have less and less function because they can’t handle they new load of toxins that are entering them every day through the food we eat and air we breathe. It’s just like a filter in a car or air conditioner – when it is full of crap the whole system gets backed up and doesn’t work as well. Same for your body, and the way to clean your ‘filter’ is to do a fast/cleanse with colonic irrigation.
I know that even after writing all of that most people will say, yeah yeah, well if she knows the answer is that simple, why hasn’t my doctor told me? Simple, mate. He does not make a dime from you getting well on your own. That’s the cold hard truth.
If anyone wants to judge me for what I am doing that’s ok with me. You may not know anyone who has ever fasted before, but how many people do you know with diabetes, cancer, lupus, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, celiac disease, Chrone’s disease or have had their gallbladder removed? The numbers keep growing, and will continue to do so until people take responsibility for their own health, learn to clean themselves out, and rebuild their health with fruits, vegetables and unprocessed food. As Hippocrates, the Father of Modern Medicine, said himself:
‘Let Food be Thy Medicine, and Medicine by Thy Food.’
I know that what I am doing is the single best gift I can give to myself. I feel very grateful that I found out about all this cleansing stuff years ago when my friend Cathy gave me a book about it that she bought at a yard sale. The book was called ‘Cleanse and Purify Thyself’ by Dr. Richard Anderson. And I feel fortunate to be in a place like Koh Samui that allows me to do what I am doing for not that much money. When I first came here 5 years ago, there was only 2 spas here doing this program. Now there are at least 5 or 6. It’s getting more popular as more people are willing to try it, which is a good sign to me that people are beginning to wake up. Maybe someday I’ll even have my own spa, who knows?
Well that is the fasting rant and rave for this cleanse – I promise not to get on the soapbox about it again, but when I start I just can’t stop as you can see. On a lighter note, I saw a funny sign the other day – a first for me – it said ‘Pedicure Takeout.’ What exactly is that????
