A Day in the life of a World Traveller on holiday…
What? Just because I’m a World Traveller, I can’t take a holiday too???
When you’ve been travelling as long and as much as I have, you need a break just like the rest of the world!
Ok, I know, so I’ve been on holiday for five months now. Who’s counting? In my opinion, a holiday should vary in length according to the individual’s needs. And this individual needed it!
So anyway, the point of this all was to simply explain what someone like me does when I’m on ‘holiday’…
A typical day for me on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand goes like this:
Wake up 6:30 – 7:00am.
Walk on the beach for 30 min, shower, and meditate.
Eat breakfast (fresh fruit) at one of the restaurants on the beach.
Sit down at computer about 9:00am to start working on the website.
Work 2-3 hours, then take a break: either a long walk on the beach or a lie down in the sun.
Eat lunch (fresh salad and juice) at another beach joint.
Back to work on the computer, or an afternoon Cupping or Reiki session…
Random breaks as needed – book reading, socializing, evening run up the mountain, Thai massage, herbal steam, etc.
Back to work on the computer again for the evening.
Stress relievers as required – watching DVDs, fresh juices, visits from friends, shopping, etc.
Sleep 10:00pm.
And that’s about it. No commutes, no headaches at the supermarket, no haggling, no travelling dramas, just a quiet, easy, simple life.
I’m still enjoying my time here on the island, and so I will continue to stay, at least for a little while. With me, you never really know what’s around the next corner…

Sunrise on Lamai Beach can be magic…
